Irish landowners explain why they will Transform their spruce plantation into a permanent mixed forest, that produces High-quality timber & more.., instead of going with conventional clear-felling management. Today we are visiting a landowner collaboration forestry in county Offaly, who recently decided to change their management to Continuous Cover Forestry (CCF). With this forest management approach, the aim is to develop and maintain forest stands into permanently irregular structures, that provide high-quality timber, enhance biodiversity, and deliver other ecosystem services. Enjoy!
