Stone carving

Tommy will teach the fundamental skills of stone carving, including:

• what tools are needed and what they're for, the maintenance and correct use of said tools

• the preparation of the stone

• the process of transferring designs onto the stone and how best to go about it

• how to use the hammer and chisels to create a relief carving on the stone

Tommy encourages relied carving as there can be more room for learning and corrections of any minor errors. He also show different texturing techniques and will have several books for use as a reference and inspiration.
